Melinda Sandberg Style Shoot
A couple weeks ago I heard from an old friend. As we talked and caught up on life, she informed me that she started her own business it is called Melinda Rose Design. She told me all about what she designs and creates hair pieces for all occasions. During our conversation, she asked me if I was interested in participating in her first style shoot. I was honored to be invited! Style shoots are so much fun and a great way to meet some really amazing people! Kathryn Stevens was invited to be the photographer for the shoot as well. The evening of the shoot, we all met at the Indigo salon and Spa where I work as a stylist. It was after hours and all the other stylists had left for the day, so we took over the salon, cranked the music and had fun! I did hair as the girls did their make-up and we all got to know each other! Kathryn showed up to help with make-up and the girls get into their dresses.... it was so much fun! We left the salon and went to this gorgeous mansion in wenatchee.... WOW, what a tranquil setting we were in! The girls looked like angels and the weather was perfect! Kathryn was so talented as watched her take pictures of the girls. Melinda's hair pieces just complimented my up-do's so much... it couldn't have been more perfect!! As the sun set, it was time to wrap it up, but non of us wanted to leave.... it was so much fun! Thanks you so much Melinda for inviting me to be apart of your first style shoot! I look forward to doing more business together! You are so talented and I see us all growing together! Here are the photo's from the shoot.... ENJOY and don't forget to pass on the word of us talented girls: Melinda Sandberg owner of Melinda Rose Design, Kathryn Stevens of Atlas and Elia Photography and myself Michelle DesCombaz located at Indigo Salon and Spa!

First Annual Prom Fashion Show 2012
So this year I came up with the greatest idea to host a Prom themed fashion show right before prom to get everyone hyped up! This was a huge task! So I got the arrangments going and got the girls at the salon to agree to this wild idea. It was such a stressful time, but you know what, we learned so much on the way and now know of some amazing people to network with (wish we would of known what we know now before the show... LOL!) Anyways, What we did was had all the proceeds from the Show go toward the Grace House in East Wenatchee, so it was not only to promote us vendors, but also for a great cause! We had Chris and Hiedi Ohta doing their magic behind the camera as the photographers, us girls from Indigo Salon and Spa did all the hair and decorated (okay we had some help from our wonderful husbands too!) We had Gabby's Bridal that provided all the dresses for the show and Club Level donated the ballroom and all the equipment. What a blast we had, it all came together so beautifully and we were so proud to watch our event take place!! We had called around and asked some different local busineeses if they would be willing to donate some items for the auction that took place right after the show..... it was so moving to see such giving people! Ohta Photography provided a huge senior package and at the last minute the threw in a pre-prom photo session, Gabby's Bridal Did a big gift basket with some gift certificates and some odds and ends, Hats Off Limo Service provided a free limo service gift certificate, Dinner for two was provided by Garlini's, Town Toyota Center provided 2 Tickets to an event and of course us girls at Indigo provided a gift basket with many certificates in it for services at the salon! We so appreciated all the donations, help, vendors, Models and guests that came to watch! The Girls were so beautiful and the guys were amazing, they really worked the stage and made it so much fun to watch! We had Performances from the Eastmont Cheer Team and From Dance Creations which did outstanding performances!! I really look forward to next year.... It's gonna be bigger and better! I hope you come and join us next year!! Thanks everyone and here are the pictures from the First Annual Prom Fashion Show 2012..... Enjoy!!
